Scottish Charity Awards – Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland and GPs at the Deep End Nominated

Scottish Charity Awards – Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland and GPs at the Deep End

We’re really pleased to let you know that the ALLIANCE National Links Worker Programme has been shortlisted in the Perfect Partnership category of the Scottish Charity Awards 2016.  Huge well done to the team!

The National Links Worker programme is a unique partnership between GPs and the third sector and demonstrates how the future NHS can unleash the power of the third sector so that personal wellbeing is at the very heart of medical care.

This year is special for them because…

They have supported over 1,400 of Scotland’s citizens that live in the highest areas of socio-economic deprivation to overcome the (often incredibly complex and multi-level) barriers that they experience to living well. The Links Worker Programme has been extensively referenced in the political arena, e.g. Audit Scotland publications, in the debating chamber by MSPs of every political persuasion, and in Scottish Government press releases. There have been indications that further extension of the Links Approach to other GP practices in deprived areas across Scotland may be picked up by one or more political parties in their election manifesto commitments.

Help the team win this well-deserved recognition, by voting for them http://www.scvo.org.uk/charity-awards/health-and-social-care-alliance-scotland-and-gps-at-the-deep-end/

Please pass the word round your contacts and encourage them to vote too!
