is for volunteering
Last
year throughout Self Management Week we celebrated the theme of physical
activity. With Scotland hosting the Commonwealth Games 2014, involving 15,000
people volunteering as Clyde-siders and the Self Management Campaign being part of Legacy 2014 the theme this year will be volunteering.
This year, Self Management Week
will take place the week beginning 29th September 2014 and will have
a focus on volunteering. It aims to improve understanding on how volunteering
can be used as a tool for self management as well raising awareness of self
management in Scotland.
What is involved?
We
are asking people to support ‘V is for
Volunteering’ as a progression from last years ‘Pass the Baton’ on Twitter
to show support for self management. Please tweet:
Your
photos of making a ‘V’ celebrating that volunteering keeps you well and helps
you to self manage #SelfManagement
Or
A statement on what
volunteering means to you or how it helps self management #SelfManagement
How
will the pictures be used?
We
will use the photos to make a collage of supporters of self management. This collage will be used on our social media
sites, website and on some of our campaign materials. * We will re-tweet the
photos to encourage others to #SelfManagement
