Carers' Rights Day Event 29th November -Celebrate Carers’ Rights Day with Dementia Carer Voices

Carers' Rights Day Event 29th November
Celebrate Carers’ Rights Day with Dementia Carer Voices

Friday 29th November: 12-2:30PM
Health and Social Care ALLIANCE, 349 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4AA
This year Carers’ Rights Day is taking place on Friday 29th November and the theme is 'rights, advice, support', focusing on ensuring that carers understand their rights and get access to good quality advice that can support them to care.
To mark the occasion, the ALLIANCE’s Dementia Carer Voices project is holding an event for Carers of People with Dementia in partnership with the Scottish Dementia Clinical Research Network.
The main focus of the session will be about highlighting the rights you are entitled to as a Carer and we are delighted to confirm Jim Martin, Scottish Public Services Ombudsman as our guest speaker. There will be opportunities for you to discuss any carers’ issues that you would like to raise, as well as find out more about becoming involved in research through the Scottish Dementia Clinical Research Network.
We have organised the event at a time that carers told us fitted best with caring responsibilities. A sandwich lunch and refreshments will be provided and a small budget is available to cover carers' travel expenses by public transport.
To register for this free event, or for further information, please contact Laura McCulloch on 0141 404 0233 or laura.mcculloch@alliance.scotland.org.uk
