My motion Edinburgh city council, part of a report to the Health Social Care and Housing Committee next week with tanks to councilor Child

Back in March I took a report on the letters I receive to Edinburgh City Council after being contacted by councilor Maureen Child, Councilor Child kindly raised a motion with regards to my awareness campaign
Next week my findings will be part of a report going to the Health Social Care and Housing Committee
Councilor Child had submitted the following motion in terms of Standing Order 28:
“Committee recognizes the inspirational efforts of Tommy Whitelaw in raising awareness of the issues effecting the carers and families of people suffering from Dementia through his “Tommy on Tour” campaign,
.Decision
1)         To recognize the inspirational efforts of Tommy Whitelaw in raising awareness of the issues affecting the carers and families of people suffering from dementia through his “Tommy on Tour” campaign, supported by Alzheimer’s Scotland.

2)         To ask the Director of Health and Social Care to report back on the issues of dementia to the next meeting of the Committee.
