A plea from a son, a plea for better awareness a plea for better understanding a plea for more life stoires

A plea from a son, a plea for more awareness a plea for understanding a plea for words

This is an awarerness campaign .Some one asked me what is the headline? What exactly are you trying to achieve? Certainly better understanding more awareness and for allTo have access and given the help and be given with the dignity and respect they deserve For me this campaign started because all of the aforementioned where missing to often and the help given once crisis was nearing and that sentiment is repeated again and again in the life stories I receive .But there is no headline from me .I want the life stories to create the headline ,Our story is part of that .If we can learn more about the life stories and experiences from families then we are better placed to understand and have the best of help and advice available. So for me the lives and experiences good or bad from families who have or are living with dementia or have or are caring for loved one can help shape ,educate inform and inspire  decision makers ,care workers and a wider society
The life stories collected to date in many hundreds have been part of on going discussions with government ,Local authorizes NHS and used for talks and film across universities colleges and schools and this will continue I want to take more words to more people to raise more understanding to bring more help and inform any changes that have to be made to strategies and policies
You words Can help this son keep his promise to his mum and all who shred their stories to date ,that I will do all I can to help to allow others the best of all they need so that no one reaches the crisis we and to many others reached ,
You can send your story ,experience ,thoughts or opinions to tommy@i-woz-there.com  you never know our words might just change someone’s life
